Emma E. Pcolinski holds a PhD in Italian from Indiana University with a minor concentration in Art History. Her dissertation, “Bridal Education and Virtuous Marriage: Reading Boccaccio through the Cassone Istoriato in Quattrocento Florence,” examines how patrician Florentine brides of the fifteenth century were instructed to read the works of Giovanni Boccaccio.

A resident of Florence, Pcolinski has extensive experience in the American academe abroad.
